RE AMERICAN ENGINES - CRANKSHAFTS.

I am attaching herewith copy of a note which I have just received from Mr Nadin, in which he states that he proposes to send 12 cranks which they consider sufficiently good enough for use - their object is, that these should be run in engines when same are received.

In view of the fact that we have had one crankshaft which we considered by appearance to be fairly satisfactory, break, I should consider that we should cable to Mr Nadin to the effect that anything in the way of a slag mark or hair crack would [underlined]certainly[/underlined] be condemned by the A.I.D. here.
