To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X7380 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M29.6.26. RE: EXPERIMENTAL BODIES. X.8830 X.8380 X.7830 X.7380 We thank you for hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG25.6.26. Your memo. enables us to prove that the argument used by Barkers' to prove that the 40/50 subframe is weak over the joggle at the rear is merely a fabrication. As far as we are concerned we never doubted that this was so. With reference to the body for EAC.7. we have supplied EY. with all the necessary information to enable him to instruct the subframe, and we presume that you will put one in hand, welding up the side channels to avoid the expense of ordering a pressing. In the course of a day or two we hope to arrive at a conclusion as to what body we should build. At the moment R.{Sir Henry Royce} rather fancies we should have a sham cabriolet. As soon as we receive the subframe from you we shall go ahead with building the body. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
