To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/KW.7.1.35. Lead Bronze Bearings for Bentley Cars. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}9/R.7.1.35. The object of the memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KW.4.1.35. was to explain to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that lead bronze bearings had been tested. In his previous memo. he was indicating that he was doubtful whether we were ready to send these bearings to Paris. We are going ahead with the 4 sets of lead bronze bearings for Paris. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has urged the detail drawings of the larger oil pump, and these will be in the Pattern Shop to-morrow. The change in material of the oil feed to the timing case presents no difficulty. We anticipate that we shall be able to send the bearings and the larger oil pumps over to Paris a fortnight after the completion of the patterns mentioned above.
