To PN.{Mr Northey} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.4050 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG29.10.20. X.4050 RE DUNLOP STRAIGHT-SIDED TYRES. RECEIVED With reference to the above tyres, we think we should try and arrange with Messrs. Dunlop to take back the set of tyres which you have been running on the Trials Car. We suggest that you keep the wheels with the straight-sided rims by, so that when they let us have tyres which are better as regards silence you could test them on the same wheels. We will let you know as soon as we hear from Messrs. Dunlops' what we wish you to do with the tyres. We have demonstrated to the Dunlop people the noise these tyres cause and we attach herewith a letter we have received from them which explains that the matter is having attention.
