In further reference to the above order for three each Rubber Blocks, F.86453/4, we regret to have to inform you that we have been unable to have these sent forward per passenger train tonight. We are, however, detaining one of our men overnight to complete the rubbers, and are hoping to be in a position to despatch them to you per first passenger train tomorrow morning. We might state that we are also arranging to 'phone you the time of train, so that if necessary you can collect them from the Railway Authorities at the earliest possible moment. As advised on the 'phone on Saturday, we are pressing our mold suppliers, and they very kindly consented to work week-end on these particular molds, with the result that the cost will be increased by 25/-s in each case, making the mold charges now to read £5.5.0d in one case, and £6.1.0d in the other case. We might state that we considered it advisable to keep our mold suppliers on full time, perchance the rubbers we were making by hand were not dimensionally correct, and in view of the fact that we are hoping to have the molds in our possession on -contd- [Text in red on left margin]: All Contracts and Orders are booked and Quotations given, subject to our right to withdraw or cancel same (without liability on our part), by reason of the interruption of due delivery, corruption of due delivery, short supplies, or abnormally affected prices of Raw Material, arising from Strikes, Fire, or through causes beyond our control. | ||
