Steering. During the road test of a 25/30HP production chassis, a tester had a steering jam through the nut at the top of the steering column becoming unscrewed and jamming the wheel. We consider that the clearance between this nut, both on its inner and outer diameter is inadequate, and furthermore, when the necessary clearances are obtained, some form of locking device should be adopted as an additional precaution. | ||
