Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr.Fowler Clark.
With further reference to our letter of January 9th. replying to yours of the 8th inst. which enclosed the latest specification of the batteries of the 20 H.P.Chassis and the 40/50, we have been through these as promised and the only comment we have to make is on the capacity of the 40/50.
In the case of the capacity of the 20 H.P. you put this at between 45 and 55 ampere hours. Actually in practice the capacity realised is about half way between.
With regard to the 40/50 we think this can be a bit higher than between 60 and 70. There is every prospect of getting between 75 and 80 ampere hours so we think you could certainly state that the capacity should be in the neighbourhood of 80 but certainly not less than 70 and you might possibly go as far as saying 85 and 75.
With regard to the weight of the 40/50 battery we are not sure that 100 lbs is feasible. The weight of the 20 H.P. battery is 80lbs, and the other battery is 50% greater in capacity and the weights probably will be fairly proportionate.
With the exception of these remarks we think the specification is quite in order.
Yours faithfully,
PETO & RADFORD.
G R N Minchin
