I confirm mine Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}2/NJ13.2.24.

This morning we are in receipt of a letter from Peto & Radford, dated 19th inst. as follows:-

"Regarding the terminals of the battery
"for 40/50 H.P.Car, we have been in touch with
"the Chloride Co. on this and it does not suit
"either of us very well to make the same
"terminal as the other is supplying. Actually
"in practice there is little between them, ours
"being 7/16" thread and theirs being 1/4" gas,
"and we want to know if we can go on supplying
"the terminals as at present. The width
"across the flats of the nuts in each case is
"3/8" so the same spanner can be used but the
"nuts would not be strictly interchangeable.
"We do not think this would matter but would
"like to have your official approval to
"continue with the same terminals we are now
"supplying on the 40/50 battery."

I shall be glad if By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will let me have his ruling with regard to this matter.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
