Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Mr Booth. c. DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X4261 BY7-P6.2.34. In a discussion betwixt DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} , Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} , & BY, it was agreed that in view of all the facts it would be better to supply Mr Royce's car with 45" springs instead of the unequal ended springs. The above decision is given because WW, are certain that Mr Royce would prefer to have the 45" spring in the first place secondly, they consider the steering would be better and thirdly the design would be one in which we ourselves would be interested ultimately, whilst it represents Mr Royce's actual requirements. Finally, it will give us some definite information in regard to whether the long spring is better, or worse under general working conditions, It is worthy of remark that the unequal ended spring will be still in evidence on the EAC. cars which will run on the four wheel brake endurance test.
