E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X4554 BY.1/G.2.5.33. 3 1/2 LITRE BENTLEY PROGRESS CHART. ----------------- A Conference was held in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s. Office with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} present, in order to settle exactly what could be put in hand on the 100 sets of Bensport material, which you have given us instructions to machine. The result was somewhat modified as a result of the matters discussed at the Conference, and the outcome of it was that our progress chart, as given below, clearly outlines the position :- (a). For machining and building the 15 chassis as the most urgent commitments - 96 sections have been completely cleared under this heading. (b). For machining and building 100 chassis on production - 86 sections have been completely cleared and instructed. (c). For the outstanding material, for 85 chassis, not included in the above - 84 sections have been instructed. The material not instructed under the above three headings is as follows :- (1). There are six sections which are held up for both (a), (b), and (c) headings, viz :- Exhaust Fittings. Exhaust Cutout. Undersheets. Luvax Oil Pipes. Spares. Side Spare Wheel Carrier. (2). 16 Sections, which include the above 6 sections are held up for heading (b) i.e. 100 chassis for production. These 16 sections are :- | ||
