Steering Joggles. Continued.
7.--.75-HC. Steering joggles over rough roads. 1500 Lbs springs fitted to side str. tube. Cross str. tube adjusted. Friction of front S.Abs. increased to 60 Lbs. Tyre pressures set at 3 Kgs. (Fair improvement to steering.
8.--.68-HC. Steering joggles over rough roads. 1500 Lbs springs fitted to side str. tube. Cross str. tube adjusted. Friction of Front S.Abs. set at 60 Lbs. Tyre pressures set at 3 Kgs. (Steering afterwards found to be very fair).
9.--.6-HC. Steering joggles over rough roads. 1500 Lbs springs fitted. Tyre pressures set at 3 Kgs. This car also had 2 new front Lemoine springs fitted, same being on the strong side. The stronger front springs fitted made a fair improvement with regard to the steadiness of the steering on rough roads.

OBSERVATION. From our experience we have found that the fitting of 1500 Lbs. springs to the Side Steering tubes of 1.125 steerings, greatly reduces Joggles or Steering shocks over rough roads but same are not an absolute cure. Also we find that high pressure tyres accentuate the "Joggling" & road shocks. Adding friction to the front shock absorbers and fitting front springs on the strong side (not exagerating same) tend to make the steering steadier.

Broken Side Steering Tube Springs. (1500 Lbs).
2. 1.--.4-LC. 3 1500 Lbs springs broken.
2.--.36-LC 3 1500 Lbs springs broken.

Fitting of .940" Worm and Nut.
We have fitted four .940" Worms & Nuts, and in each case the steering was found O.K. & gave entire satisfaction to the various clients.
The .940" worm & nut was fitted to finally overcome complaints by clients.

ENGINE OVEROILING. 6.
1.--.107-HC. Overoiling complaint. Trouble overcome by fitting "Brico" rings.
2.--.68-HC. Overoiling complaint. Fitted set of "Brico" rings, refitted pistons to cylinder bores, pistons found to have very poor bed and also slack in bores approx. .006" to .007" same refitted. Car tested, same continued to overoil & piston knocks were heard. Cylinders dismantled again. Another set of "Brico" fitted, 6 new pistons fitted. At same time we reduced big end liners. Car tested 2nd time found O.K. in every respect. Suggest 2nd set of "Brico" rings cured the above overoiling together with reducing the big end liners.

Handwritten Note:
Remark by S/S
Suggest fitting of new pistons played an important part in the cure B 25/11/27
