The incorporation of modified exhaust and silencer parts into Bentley production.

| X223. To Sft.{Mr Swift} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.1/HP.15.12.33. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re Bentley Production. With further reference to our memo E.1/HP.6.12.33 concerning the modified exhaust valve and the sliding joint in the intermediate expansion box of the silencer, Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} now writes: "I think these items should be incorporated in the chassis as per the last paragraph of E.1/HP.6.12.33". Further to this we know that the Bentley has now completed 10,000 miles, and subject to the inspection being satisfactory and the usual standardization formalities, these parts will automatically come into use.
