The Cambridge Instrument Co.,
Cambridge.

For the attention of Mr. Collins.

Dear Sir,

Some time ago, when our representative visited your works to discuss radiator thermometers he was shewn a recording rotational accelerometer.

At the present time we have some tests we wish to carry out on torsional vibrations, and would very much like the use of your instrument. Believing this instrument to be very expensive, we should like to know whether you would consider allowing us to hire same for say a fortnight, and if so, at what figure.

We should also be glad to hear what results you have had when using the accelerometer for measuring crankshaft vibrations.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
