J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} Whitehead Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Whitehead,

In our talk in your office to-day, Mr. Fowler Clark was reasonably somewhat sceptical of the points made regarding the beneficial effect of wood separators on the negative plates. I recall his expression that he had understood that the wood sheets were treated to remove all wood acids, leaving only a fabric.

I am therefore sending you a copy of leaflet 4029 - "Choosing a Starter Battery", and have marked two paragraphs which corroborate my statements. Will you please shew this leaflet to Mr. Clark, assuring him that I am only sending it as a matter of interest to you both.

With kind regards,

Yours very truly,

(sgd) E.C. McKinnon.
