Dear Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter of the 30th ultimo, the contents of which I have carefully noted.

The springing on my Bentley is definitely too light as when I drive it fast over any little mound or recess in the road it goes right down and hits the buffers. I would be very glad if this springing could be made heavier.

Pinking - you did not answer my question as to whether I could have a lever fitted in order to have the old type alternative ignition.

With regard to your statement that these Bentleys are as fast as any Bentley previously built, my car is decidedly not as fast and for this reason alone I think you should have the car up and test it yourself as very recently I was unable to pass a 1938 Bentley on the Dorking By-Pass, due to the fact that that car had at least four to five m.p.h. greater maximum speed than mine.

I was very disappointed in your final paragraph in which you state that you do not wish to
