Dear Mr. Barclay,

Very many thanks for your letter of the 2nd instant, reference JDB/MRW.

The BUICK which I mentioned to you has been put into commission by the Transport Department and is now doing a very good job of work, so it has been decided not to sell.

Actually, I think I mentioned this to Peters when I saw him recently.

So sorry you had the trouble of chasing up a customer and then are not able to get the car to offer it.
