The specification for this unit is to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}21/KW.2.7.35, the cylinder head and 8:1 eccentric ratio tappets as follows :-

Cylinder Head LOP. E.85114 (E.86939).

E.86874 head for 8 : 1 eccentric ratio tappets to LeC.4427.
E.86789 Modified Exhaust Port.
E.86440 Modified Water Holes, LeC.4074.
LeC.4124 Modification for fitting double Valve Springs.

Valves & Fittings.

8 : 1 eccentric ratio tappets, LeC.4427 to LOP.E.86922.
Double Valve Springs to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1827/8.
Bottom tappets to the original spec. LOP.E.85337, with the exception that the bottom tappets E.85336 are chrome plated by the "Fescolised" process.
The tappets are normally hardened before plating.
Tappet springs to E.85314.

Camshaft & Bearings.

Ex.18044 Camshaft in U.B.A.S.
Ex.18899 Stand Pipes to give higher oil level in the camshaft well as shown in the scheme Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1992.
The other features of this scheme are deleted.
