EA/RG{Mr Rowledge}/RB.{R. Bowen}A/DE. 2.3.44. Work Done on 10 B.V. The following maintenance work has been carried out on 10 B.V. Starter Motor :- (Standard R.R.) No trouble experienced. Motor dismantled, washed out, insulation and brushgear checked, commutators wiped clean. The spring clip locating the outer sleeve of the starter motor drive was loose - this was rectified. Windscreen wiper :- New connections made to motor terminals. Positive supply lead brought through small hole in the dash instead of through the hole provided for the wiper drive which was chafing the lead. Trafficators :- N.S. was O.K. but was lubricated. O.S. sticking occasionally and bulb failing to light. Not lighting owing to break in lead to bulb. This was made good and a new bulb fitted since the cap on the old one was loose. The sticking was probably due to traces of rust on the plunger, which were removed. The unit completed twenty successive operations after refitting. EA/RG{Mr Rowledge}/RB.{R. Bowen} | ||
