To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. X3066 BJ11/H2.12.22. (Dict: 1st). Standardisation sheets. With reference to our conversation yesterday, we consider that every Standardisation Sheet should show:- 1. How much extra or how much less the alteration will cost. 2. What scrap, if any, will result if it is brought in immediately. 3. At what later date it could be brought in without losing anything by scrap. 4. In cases where there is no alteration in cost and no scrap is entailed, the Standardisation Sheet can go through immediately. 5. In cases where you particularly wish to know without delay whether the alteration is agreed, solely from a technical point of view, the Standardisation Sheet could be sent out with a note attached stating that the sheets are only to be signed from a technical point of view, and that before the alteration is put into production a further sheet will be sent round stating the alteration in price and the value of scrap, if any.
