Contd. -2- EFC3/T15.10.24. and does not give the spiral spring an opportunity of working effectively. Further, the carbon contacts want ree arranging so as to give the necessary main contact gap of .025" suggested by EY/RD. It is noted that the fulcrum pin retainer on the main switch lever might easily be inadvertently knocked aside and not replaced. It does not spring into position definitely enough. As regards the relay unit, the spring tension of this appears to be about O.K. though it may possibly have to be reduced a little after further work. The carbon contacts require re-adjusting. In this case also will EY/RD note that the pole core might be a little higher; presumably such alteration will occur at the same time as for the other one. This alteration would probably render any further change in the spring tension unnecessary. If WHC. will have these small points rectified we will again test the unit, but for the next test we should like to have an actuator box unit, or if it is not possible to have this complete, we should have the winding, so that the electrical circuits at any rate can be made up complete and the complete electrical functioning of the apparatus observed.
