1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/SAC A/ST.{Capt. P. R. Strong} 18th March, 1941. Messrs. Wilmot Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works - Camden Street, B I R M I N G H A M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Attention of Mr. Spicer. Dear Mr. Spicer, Thank you for your letter of March 17th, together with enclosed blue print. The side vent adjuster looks very promising. There are one or two points which are not quite clear and which I will discuss with you when you next come to see us. It has been suggested that, in place of the link motion which you show on the drawing, it might be possible to use a worm and wheel that would be economical to produce and, at the same time that the pivots of the ventilator could be at any angle that might be required. With the existing link control, it is necessary for the pivots to be at right angles with the links. This, however, is only a suggestion, and there may be several reasons why the worm and wheel would not be suitable. Regarding the front door window regulator, you will see, when you get our blue print of the front door, that some alterations will be necessary to the design which you have sent us, in order to obtain satisfactory results. I am hoping to send a layout of the front door to you in the course of the next two or three days. Yours sincerely, | ||
