re. 20-HP Petrol Supply Tap.

With reference to Pt's memo reference Pt6/CW12.bl.23, suggesting an external tap for the petrol supply.

This point was brought to R's attention when I was with him with one of the early experimental 20-HP cars, but in spite of the point raised as regards fire etc. R.{Sir Henry Royce} was still of the opinion that the control of the petrol supply to the carburetter should be under the bonnet. [handwritten] Avoid piping and fittings etc.
