as suggested in your note to repeat these experiments reversing the current with a frequency of the order of four times per minute.

(16) Reversal of direction of running contact breaker.

Since our last report EFCL/T19.1.27, this has been carried out on tungsten points, but did not show any particular difference, either better or worse, than for ordinary running.

(17) Running at various speeds.

Reference to this was made in our report EFCL/T1.4.27. The results shewed no material improvement or disadvantage with either, either way, i.e. the results were mainly similarly unsatisfactory.

(18) Platinum points on Delco-Remy.

The condition of these points after the test was relatively speaking highly satisfactory. It cannot be a matter of chance that all the results we have taken on the Delco-Remy, both with platinum and tungsten, are systematically better than those taken with the same electrical system (except as regards distributor) on our own make and break.

(19) U.S.A. Bosch distributor, coil and condenser.

A run of this has been made under standard U.S.A. Bosch conditions. The result of this test is definitely not as good as the Remy, though may be said to be somewhat better than the average result on the R.R. This set is being sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} for inspection.

(20) U.S.A. Bosch distributor run with R.R. coil, ballast and condenser.

This test will probably be carried out in due course.

(21) New lever with off-set position giving slow make and quick break.

Awaiting experimental shop.

(22) Mushroom type H.T. rotor for protection from gases.

Awaiting experimental shop.
