Company Ltd. WORKS DAGENHAM DOCK, ESSEX. YOUR REF Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst4/MA. OUR REF CGFP/GL.{G. Linnett} 25th February, 1935. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. West. We are obliged to you for your letter of the 20th inst agreeing to the alteration in the design of the Bentley and the new 20/25 H.P. battery to incorporate the lead insert type of cell lid.{A. J. Lidsey} We are arranging for this as soon as possible, and as far as the Bentley is concerned we shall change over the design as and when the slight mould alterations are made. A point has occurred to us in connection with the instruction booklets which you issue. In the case of the Bentley the booklet mentions the 6-BGD9-S battery, whereas we shall shortly be supplying the battery as the 6-BHD9-S. Do you consider that this is of importance, and ought not some arrangements to be made to include the altered name in the instruction booklet? Might we also mention a small point to you in connection with the addressing of letters. Your last letter, although itself addressed to us at Dagenham Dock, was put in an envelope addressed to the National Accumulator Co. of Grosvenor Gardens. Firstly, of course, the National Co. is no longer trading under that name, and Peto & Radford are again selling all our portable batteries. Secondly if the letter is sent to Grosvenor Gardens when it is dealing with a Works matter such as the above there is unavoidably a certain amount of delay. Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD. C.
