P.S. The 42nd. chassis in 'U' series should be put on test on the 26th. June, and the 1st. 20/25 HP. chassis in J.2. series on the 6th. July, so that the new instruments will be on the Phantom 11. chassis before the 20/25.

P.P.S. Mr. Manwaring brought with him a second set of instruments with concave dials and larger trip figures, the figures on the clock, speedometer etc. being Old English Style, and this set will be fitted on a SpectreCodename for Phantom III chassis.

The first set of instruments with concave dials etc. which Smiths delivered to us are being returned to them, in order to have one or two defects put right, and dials fitted with figures of the Old English Style, after which Mr. Manwaring promised to arrange for someone to submit them to you for approval in regard to the figures. Whether the figures are to be Old English or the present style need not, of course, delay the decision to go ahead with the new instruments.
