(4) We have recently recommended and instructed harder rubber buffers for the scuttle isolation. Unfortunately the production rubbers came out harder than the approved sample and we are now awaiting further supplies. With regard to JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}'s recommendation of the use of side rubber buffers between the dash and the scuttle frame, we are in favour of this and have actually used it in a rough manner on several cars for a considerable time. Would Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} give us a scheme for this. If we can use side rubbers it should be possible to return again to soft scuttle isolation rubbers which are good for non-transmission of engine noises etc. but will not control the scuttle sufficiently relative to the dash.
(8) We have no objection to this modification.

Will By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please deal with the remaining items.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL.
