To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from CJ. CJ5/E16.6.21. SPRINGFIELD COMPLAINTS. When Mr. Royce was in town on the 30th.May, in the rough notes he then dictated and which were eventually cancelled he said - 'We think you will find that all the new cars, until the leaves of the springs become rusty with the riding, will be thought effective by the absence of friction. 'If still more damping is thought desirable, we recommend a trial being made of the Gabriel Snubbers on the back axle, or if still more friction in the shock absorbers we have already supplied'. 'We think all future cars should be fitted with these devices'. Have these devices been standardised in England? CJ. | ||
