re P.II. and 20/25 10,000 miles chassis.

At the weekly conference between Design and Experimental departments of yesterdays date, the specifications of P.II. and 20/25 chassis were discussed for the 10,000 miles tests, to establish improvements to be offered at the Olympia 1934 Show.

It is clear at the present rate of production of Phantom chassis that the P.II. material will have to be ordered in parallel with the test, if the modifications are to be got on at the time intended.

In addition to the major changes contemplated there are numerous minor improvements but whether it will be possible to incorporate everything desired will become more clear in drawing up a programme.

The position at the moment is that practically every man in the Design department is booked for various jobs on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III up to the middle of January, so that the design work required on this list will have to be done by arrangement with BY by overflowing into the main drawing office.

It is proposed to modify an existing Phantom 2 experimental chassis, and this will be a long chassis so that the frame modifications will be tested under the most exacting conditions. A new chassis will be required for the 20/25.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is looking into the question of providing a body for each of these cars.
