DERBY.

(For the attention of Mr. Martindale.
Experimental Department).

Dear Sirs,

With reference to our Mr. Izzard's call upon you concerning the rivetting of your super-charger clutch facings we have as requested, forwarded you under separate cover two steel plates .150" thick, to each of which we have rivetted a piece of the broken Ferodo clutch facing you use with No. 7 x .260" x .031" Tinnans Head Copper Semi-Tubular Rivets which you at present use for other work and for which you have an Automatic Feed Rivet Setting Machine. The correct size of holes to make in the steel plate is 3/16" diameter and the correct length of the above rivets to use is 5 5/16" measured under the head. These are the actual rivets we have used in the samples we are sending you, which we trust will meet with your approval.

We understand that our Mr. Izzard advised you to have a new anvil for your machine, and in this connection we strongly recommend you to purchase the anvil from us because we have experts who have had long experience in forming these anvils, which of course, are not quite as simple as they might appear at first sight.

Trusting our samples are of interest to you and assuring you of our desire to be of every assistance in case you meet with any further difficulties, we are,

Yours faithfully,
for THE BIFURCATED & TUBULAR RIVET CO. LTD.,
