Dear Tresilian,

I hear that you now think you know how to glue a liner into an aluminium drum so that it sticks there permanently. I am sending you a pair of drums and liners QB.2756/7, and if you would assemble same and return to us as soon as possible, Ivan Waller will then prove that you know nothing about it.

With the present interference fit of .026" - .030" we find it necessary to heat the drum to 200° - 230° to insert the liner.

Yours sincerely,
