Streamlined Car B-23-AE.

The points on which we should like you to work on this car are :-

(1) Slow running.

(2) Pick up. We do not know how much the loss of the radiator shutters has to do with the poor snap opening of this car. We should like you to investigate.

(3) Torque reaction dampers in conjunction with the rubber engine mounting. This engine moves about too much when idling and picking up. We should like to know whether it is possible to overcome this trouble with torque reaction dampers without bringing up booms.

(4) Brake squeaks. There is a piercing squeak on this car.

(5) Servo. This car is fitted with a new type of servo lining. We should like to know whether the brakes fade when this is driven hard at speed.
