Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. W.A.Robotham. We thank you for your letter of the 4th inst., and for your information we enclose you a copy of a letter received from General Motors Export Corporation. They also enclosed us a copy of the order which called for a right hand drive BUICK 47 Sedan, Body 404, colour Ambassador Maroon, upholstered in Leather. Steel artillery wheels, two spares and Goodyear Balloon tyres. As you are probably aware we have been the Sole Concessionaires for BUICK in this country for a number of years and all cars for this market are manufactured by General Motors of Canada. We only draw CADILLAC and LA{L. A. Archer} SALLE from America. The car in question is a new model and at the present moment has not been received in this country. We shall be putting it on the market during the Autumn. Why we expressed surprise in the matter was that, as you are aware, we have lent to your goodselves at various times not only different types of BUICK but also CADILLAC and LA{L. A. Archer} SALLE and we naturally thought that you would, if you wanted to purchase one of our models, communicate with us as our agreement with General Motors Corporation does not allow them to supply any cars in the United Kingdom except through ourselves. We shall be only too happy to supply you with this car should you wish it and for your information can give delivery to you some time in August. No doubt you know all about the new mechanical features and we should be happy to supply the car to you on -1- ALL CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING SPARE PARTS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE WORKS.
