I attach herewith letter and enclosures received today from Captain Hartman of Lendrum & Hartman Ltd, which I am merely passing on for your information.

Whilst it would appear you have written to Lendrum & Hartman, he does not enclose either your letter or a copy of it, so the attached correspondence is not quite complete.

I rather gather that what he is dwelling on is the fact that whereas we told him on the telephone you had not actually ordered the car, but merely enquired about it, the letter from Mr. Brun Lendrum & Hartman makes it clear that an order has been received, and the type of body, colours, painting and upholstery are all specified.

I am often running into Captain Hartman and am, in fact, lending him a 40/50 HP. car to try shortly, as there is just a chance he might buy one, he having been a past owner of a 40/50 HP. Rolls-Royce.

I would therefore like to be a little more informed on this matter so I can support your action, which at present he does not seem to like.

Kindly return enclosed with your reply.
