Z 524 Mr Barrington 15-1-12 With reference to the Lentz gear, I consider the chief source of inefficiency of this gear is the forcing of the oil through small passages at comparatively high speed; also, the friction in the parts of the pump and motor itself must be considerable in order to maintain the various joints.
