This column is for Name of Person addressed. Mr Johnson DATE. 15/1/12. Re Lentz Gear. Z 524 TBB2/L15112. Mr Platford reports with reference to this matter as follows :- "With reference to the above, I did not think much of this, it seemed too inefficient, and in my opinion it seems probable that it would get worse in this respect with wear". I have interviewed Mr Platford with reference to his opinion that the gear is inefficient, and he states that he would prefer to go into the matter more carefully before giving his reasons for this opinion. He promises that he will prepare a further report by Tuesday January 16th. He however is of the opinion that it would be advisable to obtain a car fitted with this system of transmission, for test purposes.
