In reply to your memo Na{Mr Nadin}/S9/LG 211013, we wish to state that we wrote the Exp. Shop and Mr Hives states that he has never made any tests and could therefore give no reply, and he points out that the tests are practically impossible in this weather. The shuttered Bonnet was fitted to chassis 1926 and we therefore wrote Bullamore who drove this car nearly 10,000 miles in France, and he replies that the engine kept much cooler with the shutters open and that under these conditions he had no experience with water boiling, but he states that he has not driven a car with a louvred bonnet under the same conditions and therefore cannot give any information of the comparative efficiency of a shuttered bonnet and a louvred bonnet. Mr Platford states that he has already issued a report on the shuttered bonnet to Mr Nadin in his report re the [Handwritten in left margin]: X 1085 | ||
