Dear Mr. Stenhouse,
I wonder if you would be good enough to answer a query:
In the Eaton grooved springs with interleaving which we had at Vauxhall, the leaf ends were tapered in thickness for four inches. In addition the top surfaces of the leaves were quenched tangential for this distance.
How far in from the end is the "bedding point" with this design of leaf end?
I trust that you were not harmed in the raid on Vauxhall.
