8-CYLINDER UNITS.

Will you please instruct for the necessary schemes and detail drawings to produce the following units.

(1) Using bottom part of the Conventional crankcase pattern.
This is already in existence as a separate piece in order to be suitable for either Conventional or High Power head as requested by us some time ago.

(2) The top part of the pattern for alum dry liners.
Original schemes for complete dry liner engine can be utilised.
Alum castings to be taken off the combination of the above. The advantage of the above is that the bottom part pattern, the major portion, is already in existence, which, though for cast iron, will be suitable for experimental trial.

(3) We only require one unit to be drawn and made to start with, and that one to have 3¼ bore and be 4.8 litres.
The reduction in the bore dimension should be effected by extra material in the liners, so that the casting is not affected.

(4) The Cast Iron Conventional head to be used in both units and each to be 7 : 1 C.R. by means of raised crown pistons.
