Dear Dr. Morrison,

Many thanks for your letter, and I must opolgise for not answering before.

We have had an initial run on your silencing system, and subject to verification of results it appears very good, being about 40% better than standard Bentley.

It appears, however, to be rather noisier than the Bentley silencer, and I am trying a different type of expansion chamber on the end.

Another point is that in the event of our fitting this system in a car, it would naturally have to be tidied up a bit, and I should like your opinion on the effectiveness of the following.

(1) Interference pipes.
