X219- E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} R3/M15.6.32. Sent off 20.6.32. X.4027 X.4553 PEREGRINE & BENSPORT CYL+ HEAD. As before remarked we are quite pleased to sanction a trial being made of a head having six exhaust ports as well as six inlets. It may prove a decidedly better head. We understand the one already made is now giving better results since the waterways have been improved. This is a feature of car engine design in which E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has had considerable experience, and on which we should concentrate as his speciality. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
