E.1/HP.13.6.32.

We send you herewith drawing LeC.3115 showing the cylinder head, valves valve rocker gear, etc for Bensport and Peregrine.

Would you please put in hand the necessary detail drawings.

The design generally has been approved by R.{Sir Henry Royce} and we are taking a print of this drawing down to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town with us today to get it finally passed as regards details.

The head shown is for a compression ratio of 6 to 1. We expect to use a lower ratio on the Bensport, but this will not affect the head, as owing to the use of the open type of cylinder crown we can vary the height of the piston.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
