With reference to your memo Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/HP16/M2I4I4, I very much doubt whether the radiator bearing on the starting handle is the reason of leakage because we are at present running 230I chassis with the starting handle taking practically all the weight of the radiator owing to one of the old type weak cantilevers on the radiator suspension breaking down and the radiator is quite happy. This has happened before down here, also at Derby, also on the Austrian Trials cars when the weak radiator suspension cantilevers were in use, which gradually drooped over before we strengthened them for standard work. It is certainly most annoying when the radiator does touch the starting handle in the way complained of, and some time ago we altered the drilling of the frame so as to [STAMP: W.M. 29 1914 with clock face] [STAMP: RECEIVED 29 APR 1914] This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
