re PHANTOM II - RADIATOR OVERFLOW PIPES

In testing and inspecting our London Trials car 21-RY I noticed that the front engine tray, and all the parts adjacent to same, were in a very rusty condition.

The cause of this appeared to be due to the overflow of rusty water from the radiator, all of which appeared to collect in this front tray.

We appreciate the difficulty of this pipe being fixed so as to clear the tray, but it certainly appears that some that some flexible connection might be made to advantage, to allow the overflow water to drain clear of the chassis.

I have noticed on some cars that a rubber pipe is taken from this drain, so that the overflow water will not fall on any part of the chassis.
