To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/AP.20.10.37. Ph.III. VALVE SEAT INSERTS. Re the trial of valve seat inserts in S/SLV., it has been decided to go forward with this experiment. In order to keep the cost as low as possible these seats should be fitted to one head only. We understand that there is a part machined head which has not had the seats fitted as yet and which is an experimental spare head. When the detail drawings for the new S/SLV seats are issued will you please instruct sufficient for fitting in the above mentioned head. It can then be allocated either for use on a test bed unit or a car whichever is most convenient. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
