Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/MH.{M. Huckerby} 19th March 1940 Messrs Rolls Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of- Mr. W.A.Robotham SPECIAL FRONT BUMPERS P.L.70 Further to our letter of the 18th inst., and our telephonic conversation of this afternoon, we have pleasure in enclosing two blue print copies of our drawing Pd.Exp. 6178/C showing our latest suggestion for this equipment. You will note that we propose utilising a full length Mainspring which will be coupled to the Bar or Blade at the extreme ends through the medium of the Over-Riders, and at the centre by the special Medallion Badge. To achieve this result it will be necessary to re-space the Over-Riders at 47" centres against previous 38" centres. The centre Badge will consist of a die-cast housing with a medallion following the lines of your present job, but on a smaller scale. Will you kindly peruse our prints and let us have your comments regarding what further action you wish us to take on this matter. Assuring you of our keen interest at all times, we remain, Yours faithfully, For WILMOT-BREEDEN LTD. R.P.Baker ENGINEERING DEPT. LARGEST MANUFACTURERS OF BUMPERS IN EUROPE ENC: | ||
