TANGYE JACK FOR 20 HP.

We have now received Sales criticism on the sample Jack submitted to them. We should be glad if you would communicate with Tangye's giving them our Sales Dept. criticism and our remarks - as follows :-

CX {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 7/M6.2.29. "We have now had an opportunity of seeing the Tangye Jack which you sent us, and wish to make the following observations for your consideration :-

(1) That the angle of inclination of the handle to the ground when operating, be increased. One has to stoop too much to operate this Jack and it would appear this could be bettered.

(2) The handle is very heavy and we suggest it could be lightened by being made of tubing instead of solid.

(3) The joint in the handle is not a good one and we prefer the Michelin type if that could be adapted.

(4) We suggest that a brace end to the handle be provided in lieu of a T. handle.

With these modifications, we have reason to believe that the Jack should be a very good substitute for the one we have been using, particularly in view of your being satisfied with it in other respects."

(1) With regard to this item, Tangy's let us know the actual angle of inclination of the handle to the ground of their jack, also of the Michelin Forest and Dunlop Super D.L. - we believe they have samples of these jacks. Not having their sample jack here we cannot verify this. We do not think there is very much difference - could they let us know the alteration necessary to increase this angle, is it practical?

(2) Our opinion of this is that a tubular handle of the same strength would be no lighter and more cumbersome - would Tangy's please offer their comments.
