The above scheme shows the design of the frame centre gusset, right hand side. The position of the gusset has been chosen with a view to reinforcing the frame channel at the point where it slopes inwards towards the front of the chassis. The gusset also supports the centre body bracket and prevents the frame channel from distorting due to the body loads.

The design of the bracket for the hand brake idler levers is required to complete this scheme.

The left hand centre gusset will be very similar in design, but provision for passing the exhaust system underneath will have to be investigated.
