WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LIMITED CONTINUATION No. 1. you was that the enormous pressure which seems to have taken place around the dowel hole does seem to have been the cause of throwing the metal up around the bearing, which in turn has caused the end clearance of .008" to be taken up, but generally speaking, judging from what we saw of the remaining five bearings it does seem very possible that Albions will get away with this bearing on an unhardened shaft. The period of running was something just under six hours, and the seizure took place just as the engine obtained full load. Yours faithfully, For WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LTD., [Signature: F Blackith] Technical Manager. | ||
