x302 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}4/KW.24.2.36. Bentley Rear Axle. There has been another failure on production of the double pinion nose. In view of this we want to send B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} to France fitted with a back axle in which the pinion nose and inner race in the roller bearing are integral. In the Stores there are two pinions to Ex.15037. Will you please make these up with a suitable crown wheel, so that they can be fitted to the car before it goes to France. We realise that the ratio will become 10/41 instead of 11/43.
