HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x1729a To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Text struck through: Mr.Hives] re Clutches. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E12.3.35 Referring to your E1/HP.11.3.35 I do not know whether you have yet had time to read the report on the Cadillac after 12,000 miles but I should like to draw your attention to the paragraph re clutches where it says that it 'has the smoothest engagement that we have tested, the wear was negligible and at no time was there any sign of slipping and no chemical smell in the body.' Presumably also no judders on picking up. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
